The nights are drawing in and the weather is getting colder. For the first year cadets though, it's time to dig out the sunglasses, because they're off to a field trip to Mars! What will await the cadets when they get there? Only time will tell.
Back on Earth, the Preparatory School students have been extended an invitation to go and tour the main Academy campus. Will they take up the chance to go and see where they might end up in the future? And what will they think of it if they do?

Deep within Romulan space, an evil plot is brewing that could spell destruction for the Federation. Federation intelligence, in a last-ditch attempt to discover more about this plot, has commissioned a marvel of stealth engineering- the USS Nighthawk.
The Nighthawk will fly into Romulan space, gather as much intelligence as possible, and return. The mission is dangerous, the payout astronomical. Each and every member of the crew has been handchosen. StarFleet's best and brightest, their most talented intel officers, their most well-trained officers, aboard the most advanced, most stealthy, best vessel in the Fleet.
Will the crew of the Nighthawk succeed? Will the crew be able to stand up to the strain?
