Gender: Female
Physical Profile: height 5' 7'', build medium/small, hair colour brown, eye colour brown, skin tone light, race Bajorian
Birthplace: Tamulna, Bajor
Career track: Command
Personality:
... Suspicious, Distrusting, and a firm believer everyone is up to something.
A childhood raised in multiple camps during the occupation followed by living in a farming village where everyone was either trying to get out, or get the most product to market has made her slightly suspicious of everyone. The last four years of military training have made able to follow orders at a seconds notice, but as she follows them she watches her own back not quite trusting those who give the orders.
... Focused, Spontaneous, Competitive and a firm believer in the element of surprise.
When focusing on a goal she is rather quiet and introverted not used to communicating her plan for achieving something to others until she starts doing it. One of the things during her academy personality exam that she was informed she would have to improve on. As leaders have to coordinate plans fully, as they have to work with others, something she is not used to doing when working on achieving a goal. Instead she is prone to go from a relaxed state planning out her way of meeting a goal and then executing it in a spontaneous manner, that to some has been mistaken for dumb luck when it was skillful planning. Which has worked well for her until this point as it had been to her advantage not to advertise how skilled she was, as who knew whom later she would have to get the upper hand on.
... Energetic, Outgoing, and a firm believer in hiding those traits from strangers.
When around people she knows and trusts compared to when she is around strangers her personality differs greatly. When around people she does not know or doesn't trust she is quiet and introverted preferring to make herself seem smaller. However when she is around people she does trust she is more outgoing and vocalizes her opinions and ideas more.
Background and History:
[10]... Fall 2366 Smoke Stacks and Loose Screws
Her father had been transfered back to Terok Nor to work in Ore processing again. The last batch of crops had not gone over well so they were transferring the people from the internment camp her family was assigned to. Her mother and older brothers were transfered to a small camp in the north of Bajor. However since conditions were harsh there she was sent with her father.
Something that until a Cardassian had pulled her from breakfast her father being held back screaming for her, and taken her to ore processing she had been thankful for. Though an hour before the morning shift was to begin she had the strong grip of a Cardassian on her arm, and her lungs were filling from smoke. Something was wrong in Ore processing, and she was to busy trying to figure out how to escape to care what.
A laser torch forced into her hand by a Cardassian, and then picked up by another and tossed in a ore shoot that was even still warm. Followed by a shout " Fix it. We'll test it in ten minutes as the Gul will be displeased by any delay. " She knew better than to talk to them as that would probably mean less time and tears never went over well with them. She was crying something she never did in the small shoot she was tossed in as she tried to turn on the laser torch. A rather hard task in the dark considering she had never touched one before and her hands were shaking.
Not that it took her long to turn on the torch as she was used to taking things apart. Which might be the reason she was grabbed as she realized one of the Cardassians was the one who caught her trying to make a broken pad work and took it away from her. After all she was not supposed to have it broken or not.
She had to get out of this shoot or fix it. Though if the resistance did this she did not want to fix it as she wanted the Cardassians gone. However as her hand shaked, almost dropping the torch, she noticed what came loose her mind was made. She was fixing it then getting out the bottom of the shoot before the ore did. After all fixed or not ore was coming down the shoot and if it did break it would be quickly fixed so it was a waste anyways. Though she did decide the minute she was old enough she would join the resistance to make up for this.
[13]... 2369 Flooding at the Gates
It was raining and the winds were ripping through the trees with a hurricane like force. Not that one could even feel that, as everyone was so overwhelmed with the fact the Cardassians were leaving and the Occupation was over. Naturally she could not believe it as she watched the Cardassians step onto the transport as the ones at the base her cell had been attacking and trying to take over were above risking there lives on a shuttle. Though they had lower officers ordered to fill shuttles and to risk flying off the planet.
She had no idea what she was going to do now with her life as she had just managed to join the resistance only being old enough because she lied. It helped being slightly taller than most her age reaching a bit over five feet as well as her natural skill when it came to mechanical things.
Her father always talked about Jumba trees, though all she knew about Jumba was Jumba sticks not that it mattered to her as long as the Cardassians were gone. Looking at the others she said a few words and left them to run back to the camp where her family was. After all now the Cardassians were going to be gone she had to think of the future. One which certainly would involve Jumba trees, and farming if her father had any say in the manner.
[20]... 2376* - Welcoming the Federation over all frequencies
She was half way through her first term of enlistment with the Bajorian Military. It had not taken her long, after what was left of her family returned to the fields they got pulled away from in the war, to realize she was not meant to be a farmer. Even though the earing on her ear which was usually hidden by her hair implied that.
According to the announcements over the comm Bajor was officially becoming a member of the federation. Not that it would change anything for her already Federation standard had invaded street signs in the cities of the south of Bajor. Well maybe it would possibly there would be some federation ships coming to be repaired in the ship yard she worked in for the government. Though she figured since she was young the older workers would jump at repairing those ships as they were much newer than the one she was working on today. As she walked away from the base towards the ship she was supposed to repair today unlike the others in her group she was unsure of the federations intents, and worries still lingered about them just replacing the Cardassians.
A old fighter made during the war and still in use. The peeling paint showing hits of it's past use by the resistance as well as it's engineering. Her tricorder beeping in confusion as she scanned the power relays, though her eyes could easily see what needed fixing. A few minutes later the announcements of Bajor becoming a member of the federation as the news was going over all civilian channels which were the ones the ship now powered up were trying to access.
It seemed she could not escape hearing the news about Bajors new overseers. At least they were far from her which as long as they stayed that way she was happy. At least she would not have to become one of them as she was worried about when she first heard the idea. She was not an officer just a ship repair worker so not much would change for her.
[22]... Spring/Summer 2378 - The Heisenberg compensator can't compensate for Jumba Fever
Her term had finished with the Bajorian Military and instead of taking a second enlistment she decided to return home to her families Jumba tree farm. Though it did not take her long to wonder why she was crazy enough to return home. Then she remembered that if she stayed where she was posted in the Bajorian Military she would keep doing the same thing forever. It was a good job, but unlike the Heisenberg uncertainty principle she could tell exactly in which direction her molecules would have moved if she continued that. In circles repeating the same motions day after day until the ships changed.
A jumba stick with each meal, was enough to convince her she needed to leave. Naturally the first thing that came to mind was joining the Bajorian Military again as she had no desire to leave Bajor. However her brothers constant insistence to consider Starfleet lead to her being physically dragged to the recruiting station in the city nearby. Well not really nearby, but a transporter pad away.
Her brothers at her side making her listen to the recruiter to follow the the dreams they had of leaving the planet. Keeping an open mind about the idea after her trip to the recruiting station she went home and thought about it for awhile. All she knew was how to fix things, her education was confined to that and farming Jumba trees, not the types of things an officer would need to know. Though weeks reading pads later, and a entrance exam a planet away it seemed she was deemed good enough to enter the academy. Doing something completely different than what she had done before command.
[22]... Fall 2378 - Leaving Terok Nor for Starfleet Academy
Terok Nor had changed when she arrived to take her shuttle to Earth. The name being the least noticeable change as she walked through the station. Quarks was still there, though unlike before it was not barred off in a part of the station she could not go. Not that the change made her more than glance at the restaurant as the familiar sound of dabo wheels echoed into the promenade. As she had a shuttle to catch on the other side of the station, and it had been awhile since she was last on the station.
Of course she had heard of the changes through the various news and the accompanying talk of Bajor joining the federation two years ago. Even before that she had heard about it with the talk of the Emissary though until a couple years ago she thought that was propaganda to just replace the Cardassians with the Federation. She was happy she was wrong about that, though as much as she tried to convince herself it was really true a small part of her disbelieved it.
Not that she needed to believe anything as she approached the airlock for her shuttle. At this point it was about stepping over the bottom of the airlock door and onto the shuttle. A surprisingly easy task despite the nervousness in her stomach. After all if her doubts about the federation were proven true she would be in a front row spot to do something about them. As there was no way she would let anything happen to Bajor.
Though as her shuttle pulled away from the station she did not mind the fact that the Federation had renamed Terok Nor to be called Deep Space Nine. Hopefully a change from a background in ship repair to command in Starfleet would work out well. Either way though she knew there was no way she was ever going to be a Jumba farmer.

Half the reason she was in Starfleet academy for the command program was her science background was not up to the level required for engineering. So seeing someone just leave there messy engineering kit right under one of the shuttles the engineering students were supposed to be practicing on annoyed her. Not that she could do anything about it as she was just a first year and the kit obviously belonged to an older year from the amount of use it had.
Looking around noticing no one around she bent down to examine what was being fixed on the ship, as she had never worked with this model before. After all doing something with her hands was much better than studying psychology and leadership. One which required her to try to understand others something she had difficulty with, and the other required her to tell people to do things based on her understand of them. This was much easier at least to her which was probably why she got bored of repairing ships and was here doing something new.
Hearing a noise starting from the engine and noticing the problem in front of her Cadet Uli said " Power down the ship, your converters are flipped and you'll blow out the coupler. " Though the noise did not stop getting louder as she heard the nacells about to be powered up. She had two choices run or try something quick and pray she was right. Not even bothering to put on a pair of gloves she quickly pulled out the flipped converter it burning her hand and placed it back in the correct direction.
Not bothering to wait for whomever had made such a mistake to come back she went to the back of the shuttle and shouted in " Power down now. " Then after a breath added " Then call medical for yourself as you need your brain examined. " However the only person who would hopefully need medical was her as she could feel the scabs forming on her hand from the burns.
